Clayton Walter Wilson's Obituary
Clayton Walter Wilson, 95, of Ashland, KY (formerly of South Point, OH) passed away on Friday May 12, 2017 at Woodland Oaks in Ashland, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn B. and Mona Blake Wilson; his wife, V. Catherine Beckett Wilson; three sisters, Lucille Johnson, Carrie Russell and Mary Mooney; two brothers, Glenn B. Wilson and Gene D. Wilson. He is survived by two sons, Robert C. (Toni) Wilson of San Jose, CA and Michael C. (Leigh Ann) Wilson of Ashland, KY; two step grandchildren, Evan Jenkins and Kenzie (John) Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clayton was a WWII Airforce Veteran and received the Legion of Honour medal which is the highest French order of merit for military and civil merits. He was a retired sheet metal worker and a member of the Local #24 AFL-CIO. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Woodland Oaks for their exceptional care and also special thanks to caregivers Christina Pack and Loretta Stamper-Martin. Funeral service will be conducted 1pm Wednesday May 17, 2017 at Schneider-Hall funeral home in Chesapeake, OH by Rev. John Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point, OH.
