Clifford "Skip" Hughes' Obituary
Clifford “Skip” Hughes, 80, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Tuesday June 23, 2026 at home. He was born October 21, 1945, in Logan County, WV to the late Herman and Lora Hughes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Hughes; sister Shirley Dotson; brother Richard Hughes; uncle and best friend Kenneth Hughes. He is survived by his daughters Misty (Rusty) Barker of Proctorville and Constance Hughes of Chesapeake; sons Wade Hughes of Proctorville and Eric Hughes of Indiana; his grandchildren Katelynn (Matthew) McDowell, Trenton Fletcher that he loved and enjoyed, and others; siblings Marilyn (James) Slone of Inman, KY, Linda Cates of Texas, Wana (Johnn) of Barboza, Massachusetts, and Leona Chafin of Huntington, WV. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a region Old Baptist preacher. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday June 27, 2026 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday June 27, 2026 at the funeral home.
