Cline Lee McNeely's Obituary
Cline McNeely, 84, passed from this life Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center where he received excellent and compassionate care. Cline’s working career included Compton’s Office Machines, several years as a building contractor with partner Jon Light. He then moved on to ACF and finally retired from Bearings, Inc. He was preceded in death by his wife Violet Norman McNeely; parents Willie and Edna Clay McNeely; and three brothers, Donald, Richard and Willie, Jr. He is survived by a son, Allen (Kelli); a daughter Jean Ann Smailes (George); three grandchildren, Leslie Edens, with whom he resided, Megan Leighty and Patrick McNeely; two great grandchildren Ryan and Rebecca Leighty; a sister Barbara McNeely (Everett) Black; two nieces; and several nephews. Through the years Cline dedicated many hours helping others through the Chesapeake Community Center Food Bank, Salvation Army and CAO as well as the Gideon’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Community Food Bank or Salvation Army. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory by Pastor Harold Hamlin. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio.
