Constance "Connie" Jo Stephens' Obituary
CONSTANCE J. STEPHENS, age 87, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at home. Constance was born October 3, 1937, in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of the late Carleton and Lucy Ellis. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Constance lived a life rooted in love and strength. She was preceded in death by her parents Carleton and Lucy Ellis; her husband, Robert L. Stephens; her sister, Joyce Johnson and her son, Roger Stephens. Constance is survived by her loving children: Lee (Lisa) Stephens, Sherry (Tom) Caserta, Tammy Stephens, and Noah Stephens. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Thomas (Jennifer) Caserta, Amanda (Rob) Ekwall, Monica (Anthony) Wilbanks, Sara (Bud) Hickman, Kayla Stephens and Rebekah Stephens and great-grandchildren: Anthony Caserta, Jack Ekwall and Victoria Hickman, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by two sisters, Bonna Bates and Trudy Annese; and brothers, Gary Ellis, John Ellis, Phillip Ellis and Jerry Ellis. Her family was her greatest pride, and her love and guidance touched many lives. Constance will be remembered for her gentle spirit, warm heart, and the unwavering care she gave to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, by Minister Barry Kelley. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery.
