Courtnie Tamika White's Obituary
Courtnie Tamika White, 39, of South Point, OH, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH. Born on February 13, 1985, in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Thelma Yancey Mabry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerome Antwaine Yancey, Derrick Buckner, and her paternal and maternal grandparents. Courtnie is survived by her children, Jayvonne, Jamiere, and Ni-Jzae; half-brother, Devon Hord, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. During her stay at Hope Recovery Care, she became a beacon of light and hope for her peers. Her compassion, unwavering support, and genuine empathy created a nurturing environment that fostered healing and growth. Courtnie had a unique ability to connect with and offer not just guidance, but also friendship and understanding. It was our pleasure to have her become a graduate of our program and in honor of her remarkable impact, we are proud to announce the Hope Recovery Care women's location in South Point, OH, will be named after Courtnie. The tribute reflects the profound influence she had on all of us and ensures her legacy of compassion and dedication to recovery will continue to inspire future generations. A Celebration of Courtnie's life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Full Gospel Assembly Church in Huntington, with Bishop Moore, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 12:00 P.M. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements.
