Dallas Henry Crabtree's Obituary
Dallas Henry Crabtree, 92, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley, Ironton, Ohio. He was born May 21, 1927 in Lincoln County, WV son of the late Wesley and Rosa Crabtree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Andrew, Carl, Fred, Willis, Maxine, James and Marion "Hob". He is survived by one brother Curt; daughter Clarissa Crabtree; granddaughter Vanessa Lira-Crabtree; and many adoring family members and friends. He was a honored veteran of the U.S. Army with 27 years of service including three wars, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was extremely proud of his service to our country, just as his family was of him. He loved going trough pictures of his loved ones and remembering the good old days. He could tell a story to make anyone laugh out loud. He was greatly loved and will be missed terribly by all who loved him. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice.
