Dana Helmondollar's Obituary
Dana F. Helmondollar, 70, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Friday February 1, 2019 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born July 5, 1948 in Chesapeake, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father Wetzel Helmondollar; a son Dana F. Helmondollar, Jr., a granddaughter Megan Hessler; and a brother Eric Helmondollar. He retired from Kanawha River Terminal Ceredo, WV. He was a U.S. Army veteran proudly serving in Vietnam, and was a member of Guyandotte VFW Post #9738. His hobbies were fishing and traveling with his wife, and his outdoor garages. He is survived by his wife Rosemary Helmondollar; his mother Opal Helmondollar of Chesapeake; two daughters Amy (Ron) May of Chesapeake and Beth Hessler of Florida; one son David Reiter of South Point; four grandchildren Katelyn, Christopher, Robert, and Kayla; three great grandchildren Bryce, Charlie, and Jayden; two sisters Kathy (Harry) Smith of Chesapeake and Teresa (Chuck) Matthews of Scott Depot, WV; two nephews Mark and Scott and one niece Kim. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday February 5, 2019 at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home, Chesapeake, Ohio by Pastor Jerry Dickerson. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Proctorville VFW Post #6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday February 5, 2019 at the funeral home.
