Daniel Lloyd Jones' Obituary
Daniel Lloyd Jones, 77, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 in Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born June 15, 1943 in Huntington, WV son of the late Julian and Sadie Ramey Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jones; a daughter Sherri Gould; and a sister Lana Hayes. He is survived by his best friend Linda; two sons Michael (Jackie) Jones and Daniel (Natasha) Jones; one grandchildren Anthony Jones; three great grandchildren Anna Jones, Maddox Eastham and Julian Eastham; and two sisters, Linda Smith and Rosa Spence. Daniel retired from A.K. Steel after 36 years, was a Fayette Township Volunteer Employee and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He also loved to hunt, fish, pony pulls and farm life. He also enjoyed wood working in his shop and working in his greenhouse. He was a member of The Lawrence County Draft Horse and Mule Club and was a 4H club leader for many years. Daniel loved his church family at Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio with Pastor Joseph Fortner officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
