Darek Gue's Obituary
Darek Gue, 70, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at home. He was born May 1, 1955, in Huntington, WV, to the late Elmer Gue and Zelma Carrie Gue. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Evelyn Gue, Dottie Paglione; three brothers-in-law Len Paglione, Jerry Chapman, Bub Dufore; and two nephews Jerry “Little Jer” Chapman and Christopher Gue. He was a contractor and handyman for many people. Darek had a love for coaching, especially baseball. He coached both his children and many others. He loved his family and never missed a chance to say, “I love you.” He was a true neighbor, helping anyone in need, and a burst of light and laughter in every room he entered. He is survived by his wife Lisa Gue; one daughter Carrie Jane (Fisher) Cross; one son Patrick (Allene Conner) Gue; one granddaughter Layla Jane Cross; three brothers Al (Jody) Gue, Rick (Kathie) Gue, and Robert (Marilou) Gue; four sisters Zelphia Chapman, Sandy Gray, Pat Dufore, Wilda (Bill) Ramsdell; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, February 13, 2026, at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. Burial will follow at Green Valley Cemetery in Salt Rock, WV.
