Darrell Ray Dement's Obituary
Darrell Ray Dement, 51, of Chesapeake, OH, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born on September 16, 1972, in Ironton, OH, to the late Janice and Wesley Dement. He was preceded in death by his sisters Betty Sue and Baby Dement. He was a self-employed construction business owner. He is survived by his companion Kim Morris, his daughters Kami Dement and Kristina Patton; grandsons Jakorey Dement and Waylon Payne; brothers Michael, Greg, and Tracy; sisters Lisa and Treca; and many nieces and nephews. Darrell loved spending time with his grandsons. In his earlier years, he enjoyed racing go karts, running demolition derbies, and building model cars. Darrell was born in the back of a Nova on the way to the hospital. Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Ronnie Tyree officiating. Burial will follow the service at Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, OH. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home.
