David Leon Goodall's Obituary
David Leon Goodall, 81, of Proctorville Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2023. He was born on September 11, 1941 in Chesapeake Ohio to the late Kenneth B. and Ruth M. Jones Goodall. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Earl Goodall and grandson, Jacob Kenneth Goodall. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vicki Ronk Goodall and his children and their spouses, Victor & Mary Goodall, Christa & Andy Hunt and Kurt & Dawn Goodall. He was blessed with his grand children and their spouses, Caitlyn Pannell Goodall, David & Lexi Goodall, Aaron & Ryan Ansell, Jesse & Holly Ansell, Nancy Jo & John Booth, Evan Goodall , Zane Goodall. Great-grand children, Lucy & Samuel Goodall, Lucas, Elli, Emmett & Zoe Ansell, Logan, Grace, & Alexander Booth. Special in laws, Mark & Teresa Ronk Ansell. His special furry boy, Squirt, will miss his rides in the car and on the riding lawnmower.Dave started his entrepreneurship in the mid-1960s selling and working on Volkswagens in Athalia, Ohio. In the early 1970s, he moved his business to Chesapeake, Ohio. First selling automobiles with his famous advertising ploy "the Ford Mustang on the pole". Then opening Dave's Tire City in 1984. He enjoyed going to Gallipolis Auto Auction every Thursday with his buddies. He also had a passion for staying current with technology. Even though he was considered retired, he worked daily until he suddenly left this world from a very unexpected heart attack.One of his favorite things to do was fly. He trained and acquired his pilot license and was a partner owner of an airplane for several years. He was always ready for an adventure!Dave will be greatly missed by his family, a host of special friends and friends that he acquired during his 55 years of business.There will be a memorial celebration on February 4 @2 PM at Big Branch Church 2072 County Road 31 Chesapeake, Ohio with Pastor Randy Henderson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Mission Outreach 65 Township Rd. 1037 Chesapeake, OH 45619.
