David Lee Mays' Obituary
David Lee Mays, 79, of South Point, OH, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at his residence. He was born April 11, 1945 in Ironton, OH, son of the late Lewis and Betsy Sexton Mays.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Edythe Lois Mays; two sons, John Stacy Mays and Paul David Mays; sisters, Geraldine Allen and Judy Willis and brother, Lewis Mays. He is survived by his son, Jerry Mays; daughter, Cheryl (Joe) Hodges; grandchildren, Eric David Mays, Larissa Leigh Mays, Kasey and Jadie Carter and two brothers, Allen Mays and Estlle Mays.
He was a former employee of Armco Industries, Ashland, KY. There will be no services at this time. Schneider-Hall Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at schneiderhallfuneralhome.com.
