David Stephen Nichols' Obituary
David Stephen Nichols, 72, of Jefferson, Georgia, formerly of Athalia, Ohio, passed away Monday May 19, 2025. He was born January 28,1953 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his father Russell Nichols. He was owner of Nichols Tile. He enjoyed watching the news and driving his friends around his neighborhood on the golf cart. He was a gifted carpenter in every job he had done. He was also an avid arrowhead hunter and collector. Steve was a United States Air Force veteran. He is survived by his mother Twila Nichols of Proctorville; his wife of 25 years, Susie Nichols of Jefferson, GA; two daughters, Nicole Burgoyne of Leigh Acres, FL and Michelle Nichols (Beauford Jones) of Crown City, Ohio; four grandchildren, Scotty and Steven Burgoyne and Kaitlyn and Taylor Drummond; step-daughter, Nancy McWhorter (fiancé Kevin) of Utah; three great-grandchildren Brandly, Grayson, and Millie Burgoyne; brother-in-law Larry King; sisters-in-law Shirley Sleeper and Barbara Cole; and best friends Tony Cash and Scott Burgoyne; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday May 24, 2025 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Brady Lipscomb. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio.
