David Ray Ramey's Obituary
David Ray Ramey, also known as Dad, Papaw, Uncle Dave, and Dipper, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the age of 56. Born on January 7, 1968, in Huntington, he was the son of the late Willie Ramey and Norma Inscoe. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by a sister, Martha Ramey; a brother, Clayton Ramey, and a brother-in-law, Leroy Burton. Dave's legacy continues on through his adored children, Krista (Joshua) Whisman, Joshua Ramey, Brandon Porter, and his grandchildren, Kitana Gillispie, Ava Gillispie, and Dylan Porter. Dave's life will be fondly remembered by his wife and companion of 35 years, Donna Ramey; his brothers, Willie (Debbie) Ramey, and John Ramey; his sisters, Billie Burton, Marguerite (Busby) Lalla, and Cora Black; brother-in-law, Bobby (Melissa) Mullins, Jr.; mother-in-law, Edna Mullins (Mark Reinhardt), and father-in-law, Bob (Robin) Mullins. Dave found his greatest joy in the company of his big family, especially all his nieces, nephews, and everyone who knew him as Uncle Dave. He was a plumber and successfully ran his own business for many years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, loud music, good friends, and telling jokes. Dave was always the person you could call at any hour for a ride or just to lend a helping hand. His presence will be missed, yet his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of everyone who loved him. A Celebration of Dave's Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 1:00 P.M.
