DAVID EARL SCHOCHLER, 66, of Chesapeake, OH, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Kermit Taylor officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. David was born January 4, 1947, in Houston, TX, a son of the late Alvin and Myrtle Hobbs Schochler. He was a retired truck driver, a US Army Vietnam veteran, and a member of Christ Community Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Bethany Schochler; and his brother, Bobby Schochler. David is survived by his wife, Connie Fout Schochler; two daughters, Kassey Day of Salt Lake City, UT, and Trudy Jones of Willis, TX; one step-son, Aaron Jobe of Columbus, IN; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one step great grandson; and two sisters, Betty McMaster of Jasper, TX, and Donna Ellis of TX. David loved his church family dearly and they will miss his hugs and "hello darlings". Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Friday, January 3, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH.
