David Lee Sommerville's Obituary
David L. Sommerville, 71, of Lucasville, Ohio, formerly of Chesapeake Ohio, passed peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2023, in Edgewood Manor Lucasville Ohio. He was born December 4, 1951, son of the late Charles Sommerville and Helen Irene Fife Sommerville. He Graduated Chesapeake High School 1969 and served his country in the United State Marine Corps. David was a jack of all trades and did a lot of different things throughout his life. But his proudest moments were his son Justin "Jake" Sommerville of Chesapeake, Ohio, and his grandson Connor Sommerville of Coal Grove, Ohio, who survive him along with his brother Charles "Butch" Sommerville of Corpus Christi, Texas; nieces Sabrina Irons (Roger) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Sherri Epperson of Indiana, Tammi Sommerville of Austin, Texas, and Karla Staff (Gary) of Lakeway, Texas. The family would like to thank the nurses, physicians, and administrative staff at Edgewood Manor for all the love and care they showed Dave throughout the years. As well as the care and support of the Hospice team. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to a veteran's charity or charity of your choice. A graveside and burial will be held 12 noon Monday, November 6, 2023, at Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held 11 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2023, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
