Today as I heard the military gun salute, I am taken back in time.. Many times I witnessed Mary Alice and Dean stand in honor of our Veterans. On Memorila Days, they stood proud as they participated in the Honor Gaurd ceremony. Then they would dash off to the next cemetery to pay their respects. Dean loved our United States flag and he made sure we always had a new flag to fly at the begining of the summer. He loved our country and our community. Many mornings I would see Mary Alice park in the cemetery to get her morning walk in. She would dash up and down the lanes, while while I started on the opposite end. Eventually we would meet and chat a few minutes while we watched the sun rise. This went on for years, so many that she knew all 3 of my white German Shepherds. They were eager to see her and she was delighted to see them. She watched my dogs grow up and eventually become to old to walk the lanes. Mary Alice loved the sunrise, dogs, and her morning walks with nature and God. These are the dashes of their lives that I will remember... please give those 3 big dogs a hug from me
