Deborah Jean "Jeanie" Burcham's Obituary
Deborah Jean “Jeanie” Dillon Burcham of Crown City, Ohio, quietly left this world behind on Tuesday morning, March 21, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, W. Va. Jeanie was born on the 29th of August in 1948, the seventh child of Jyles William and Mabel Wright Dillon. She was preceded in death by her only child, her loving son, Mark Aaron Burcham on May 2, 2024, and only six months later, she lost her husband, Jerry Lee Burcham. Four sisters, Edna Brumfield, Bernice Fulks, Alberta Brumfield and Ruth Ann White. Jeanie, Jerry, and Mark owned and operated Jerry’s Transmission of Huntington. They were all alumni of Fairland High School. Jeanie loved doing ancestry and would spend hours looking up information and telling you about the family history and family tree. Jeanie is survived by a brother, William (Billy) Dillon (Sue) of Florida and a sister, Patty Turley of Salt Rock, West Virginia. Her daughter-in-law Joanna Thornburgh Burcham of Huntington and a special niece, Barbara Ward of Athalia, Ohio, along with many nieces and nephews who she loved. By Jeanie’s request, there will be no services. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family through this difficult time.
