Deborah Sue Meade's Obituary
Deborah Sue Meade, 66, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at her residence. Born on December 13, 1957, in Huntington, WV, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Phyllis Harless Porter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Matney; uncle, Homer Harless, and paternal grandmother, Juanita "Peanut" Harless. Debbie loved flowers and enjoyed visiting the beach. Above all, she loved her children and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Vernon Meade; children, Tonya (Ken) French, Jamey (Jessica) Heflin, Erica (Allen) Stone, and Matthew (Olivia) Meade; grandchildren, Tre French, Ali French, Devon Heflin, Easton Heflin, Anna Stone, Daphne Meade, and Wren Meade; great-niece and great-nephew, Savannah and Ace Dillon; siblings, Betty (Lee) Dillon and Sherry (Ronnie) Cox; mother-in-law, Helen Meade; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary Meade, Eileen Meade, Gwen (Ishmel) Johnson, Regina (Ike) Wiley, and Duane Meade; special friends, Jackie and Margaret; her fur babies, Chance and Tobey, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a special Thank You to the staff of Heartland Hospice for their excellent care of Debbie. A Celebration of Debbie's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on October 5, 2024 at the home of Betty Dillon, 139 Private Drive 123, Crown City, Ohio.
