Debra K. Hagley's Obituary
Debra K. Hagley, 68 years old of Barboursville, WV passed peacefully on March 28, 2026 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
Debra was contrary in life, funny, always pulling shenanigans, naturally defiant like all Hagley’s in our family, head strong and was good at raising cane, but was good hearted and had a heart as big as herself. She liked eating cheeseburgers at 2am in the morning then going back to bed, hated getting up early, loved her grandbaby Waylon, loved flowers especially pink roses, 50s music and television shows and doing whatever she wanted to do despite the consequences. She will be remembered as one who did not care what others thought about her and gave 2 cents about what you want her to do, if it was not what she wanted to do, good luck to ya…it wasn’t happening.
She was preceded in death by her mother Norma (Hagley) Adkins and life partner Danny Bills. She is survived by her family members, Father Virgil Adkins; Son Danny Hagley and Grandson Waylon; Daughter Danielle (John) Hagley-Yates; sisters Dana (David) Ramsey and Becky (Jeff) Nowlin, Brothers Raybuck (Joanie) Adkins and Earl Adkins; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family has requested no services to be held along with the cremation. This will allow private time for the family to grieve and reflect. Roses have been purchased and will be planted in her memory this April.
