Dennis Arlen Hamlin's Obituary
Dennis Arlen Hamlin passed peacefully at home on May 22, 2023, after a harrowing battle with multiple terminal illnesses.He was born on August 11th, 1958, to his loving and attentive mother, Clara Hamlin, and his father, Lloyd Hamlin. He was a veteran of the US Navy, a lung transplant recipient, an avid Herd fan, and a dog dad to his black lab, Norah.He loved his only son, Britt (Shayln) Hamlin, effortlessly and unconditionally. Along with his two grandchildren, Colten and Ryder Hamlin. He leaves behind one brother, Bruce (Jody) Hamlin of North Carolina, two half siblings, Jimmy (Linda) and Nancy Hamlin of Colorado, and bonus sister, Kay Shepard of West Virginia. He will finally be reunited with his brother, Bert, in heaven. His niece, LaCandace (Ethan) Cantrell, will miss planning his birthday parties, especially picking out his cake design with local baker and family friend, Dlish By Trish.The family would like to give special thanks to the VA Medical Center of Huntington, WV, and his transplant team in Madison, Wisconsin.There will be no services.
