Donald Frasher's Obituary
DONALD FRASHER, 89, of Dayton, OH, passed away, Sunday, January 26, 2014. Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, January 31, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Bro. John Frasher officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH. Donald was born November 8, 1924, in Wayne County, WV, a son of the late Garland and Leaffy Morrison Frasher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Hunter Frasher; his brother, Rubert Frasher; and his sisters, Helen F. Bash and Eula F. Whittaker. Donald is survived by his sister, Thursy F. Baker; and his brothers, Garland Frasher, Jr., and John Paul Frasher. Donald attended a one-room elementary school and graduated from Wayne High School in May of 1942. He served in the Navy Air Force and the Merchant Marines during World War II and served in the Army during the Korean War. After his military service, he worked many years for TRW in Dayton, OH. Donald was a dedicated bowler and won many trophies and was one of the first Daytonians to bowl a perfect 300 game. He was very kind and generous to everyone, and cared very much for the welfare of all living things. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH.
