Donald Joe Wilson's Obituary
Donald Joe Wilson, 89, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born on August 14, 1934, in Huntington, WV, to the late Lawrence and Hazel Wright Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patsy Wilson; one brother; and two sisters. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio. He retired from Owens Illinois and was a United States Army veteran. He is survived by one daughter Kim Adkins of South Point, Ohio; five grandchildren Nicole (Shawn) Powell, Courtney Payne, Brittany Knipp, Megan Wilson and Sean Wilson ; nine great grandchildren Halie, Emilee, Shelby, Reagan, Rylen, Brantley, Ryker, Maylee, and Tate. Funeral Service will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, April 29, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Jeff Black officiating. Burial will follow the service at Highland Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
