God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes we watched and saw you pass away. Although we love you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest..God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best. Love and miss you mom.

To Doris's family, My deepest sympathy to all of you. I had the privilege of working with Doris on Labor & Delivery at Cabell for several years and she has been a beloved Facebook friend for many years. I've so enjoyed her recipes, pictures of her beautiful flowers and robust vegetables she grew and post about her family she loved so much. She always keep the front desk on L & D running smoothly and very efficiently even in times of chaos. She was loved by those that worked with her and I will miss connecting with her in FB. My thoughts and prayers for all of you mourning her death that only wonderful memories fill your hearts and bring comfort and peace to each of you and to know she is rejoicing with Danny in Heaven. I worked midnight with Doris for several years at CHH. She was always a bright spot on the unit and would do whatever needed to help. She was always sharing some fun memories and stories and often kept us laughing. I missed her after her retirement. Sending prayers for comfort to all her beloved children and grandchildren. I am so sorry for your loss.
