Dorsey Maynard's Obituary
DORSEY "BUD" MAYNARD, 84, of Rio Grande, OH, formerly of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 20, 2014, in Holzer Medical Center. Funeral service will be 12 Noon Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Black officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Bud was born October 31, 1929, in Wayne County, WV, a son of the late Candy Edgar and Zora Smith Maynard. He was a retired warehouseman for Cincinnati Cortege and Paper Company and a United States Marine Corps veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Maynard; one daughter, Brenda Maynard; one great grandson; two sisters, Dorothy Maynard and Freda Mae Dickerson; four brothers, Vernis, Virgil, Edgar Jr., and Jarrett Benton "J.B." Maynard; and one son-in-law, John Runyon. Bud is survived by two daughters, Vickie (Mark) Baldwin of Rio Grande, OH, and Valerie Runyon of Barboursville, WV; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one brother, John Maynard of Melbourne, FL.
