Dottie Fowler, 77, of Chesapeake, OH, departed this life on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at her residence.She was born April 11, 1945, in Madison, WV the daughter of the late Edwin & Lucinda Crum Bender.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Slazo and her father and mother-in-law, William & Julia Ann Fowler.Dottie was an LPN who loved caring for patients. She loved the mountains and taking care of her grandbabies.Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Bob Fowler of Chesapeake, Ohio; two daughters, Mary Jones of Huntington, WV and Sue (James) Slack of Teays Valley, WV; six sisters, Shelva Rakes, Patty Adkins, Dale Baisden, Darlene Eldridge, Gwenn Clark, and Hazel Harris; five brothers, Sherman Crum, Dane Bender, Dan Bender, Billy Bender and Clyde Bender; five grandchildren, Sara Slack, Liam Slack, Jacob Jones, Emily Jones and William Jones; one great grandchild, Daxton Maxie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home with Dale Barnette officiating. Burial will follow at the Pauley-Hall-Slazo Cemetery, Boone County, WV.Visitation will be on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.Pallbearers will be family and friends.Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements, along with the assistance of Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, Ohio.
