Dr. Katherine W. Simpkins, 93, of Huntington, WV, died Thursday, December 19, 2013, in Woodlands Retirement Community. She was the widow of Dr. O. Norman Simpkins. She retired as a professor from Marshall University College of Education. At her request, there will be no visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
