Edison L. Adkins' Obituary
Edison L. Adkins, 91, of Barboursville, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born on June 19, 1929 to the late Henry and Mary Gertrude Adkins. He was also preceded in death by two wives Grace L. Adkins and Laura L. Adkins; one son Edison L. Adkins Jr.; one daughter Vera J. Robertson; and seven siblings. He was an Army and Air Force Veteran, a Civil Air Patrol Lieutenant; life member of DAV #2 Latter Day; and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in West Pea Ridge. He is survived by two daughters Mary Stanley of Chesapeake, OH, and Keishia Howe of Huntington, WV; three sons Donnie Adkins of Huntington, WV, Tom Truitt of Sandusky, OH, and Joe Adkins of Barboursville, WV; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Monday, May 17, 2021 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
