Edith Carter Williams' Obituary
Edith Carter Williams, 98, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Riverview Post Acute, South Point, OH. She was born on August 18, 1927, in Pinch, WV, to the late Andrew and Nellie Cyrus.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands John Lucian Carter and Billy Ray Williams; son Ronald Carter; granddaughter Jeannie; four sisters Georgia Henderson, Lenora Blake, Emily Burd, and Marion Hayes.
She was a lifetime member of VFW Post #6878 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons John Lucian Carter Jr. and Donald Carter; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, with Pastor D.L. Webb, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Willow Wood, OH.
