Edward "Sonny" Lewis' Obituary
Edward (Sonny) Lewis, 79 of Ironton, Ohio passed away on July 24th, 2019 at Bridgeport Healthcare Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. Sonny graduated from Rock Hill High School, Class of 1958. He worked at Alpha Portland Cement Plant, and later moved to Mansfield, Ohio, where he worked and retired from Ohio Brass. Sonny enjoyed hunting and loved to cook. Sonny was born on July 18th, 1940 to the late Samuel and Shirley (Gullet) Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin sister, Edna Lewis, a nephew, Jeff Warner, and brother in law, Rosco Warner. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Lewis, his sons, Tom (Beulah) Lewis, Greg (Cheryl) Lewis, Jason (Ann) Lewis, Larry Baxter, and Tim Baxter. Sisters: Betty Lewis, Faye Warner, Cena (Joe) Banks, Sharon (Gary) Doolin. Brothers: Don (Sid) Lewis, Herschel (Cherry) Lewis, Jerry (Kimily) Lewis, John (Janice) Lewis, and Joe (Clara) Lewis. Grandchildren: Emily and Madison Lewis, Hannah Ratliff, Haley Boggs, Amanda Lewis, Shane Lewis, Erin Lewis, Dominick Lewis, Harmony Lewis, Derrick Lewis, Larry Keith Edward Baxter. Sonny also had many nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery on August 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Leon Dalton.
