Edward Frank Lockard's Obituary
Edward “Frank” Lockard, 97, of Proctorville, OH, died peacefully on June 7, 2026. He was born on January 11, 1929, in Chesapeake, OH. He is the son of the late Denver B. Lockard and Virgie Lafon Fitzpatrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Taccie Bragg and three brothers, Charles, Bob, and John. He is survived by one daughter, Tanna (Thornton) Thomas and one son, Tom (Terri) Lockard; six grandchildren, Joe (Amber), Renee (Jason), James (Ashlie), Katie (Aaron), Abigail and Matthew; nine great-grandchildren, Seiarra (Zachary), Austin, Damian (Brittany), Blaine, Olivia, Suzie, Quentin, Levi, and Landon; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Paul. Frank served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was a paratrooper. He worked and retired as a carman from the Raceland location with the C&O Railroad. He was an active member of Windsor Church. Frank loved to laugh, tease, and pull pranks. He was up for any adventure that came his way. He was a hard-working man who took pride in his garden that he gladly shared with many. Frank was an encourager to his family. Special thanks to Austin and Abigail. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Windsor Church with Pastor Harold Hamlin, officiating. Burial will be at Centenary Cemetery in Chesapeake, OH.
