Ellen May Stevens' Obituary
ELLEN MAY STEVENS, 93, of South Point, OH, died Friday, July 3, 2015, in Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley in Ironton, OH. She was born September 30, 1921, in Greenup, KY. Ellen was a homemaker, volunteered at the Ironton Medical Clinic, and was a member of Ohio Grange. She was preceded in death by her mother, Goldie Brown; her first husband, William Gayhart; her second husband, Samuel Stevens; and two brothers, Bobby Gene Johnson and Louis Johnson. Ellen is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Cappe Lauter of Lake Worth, FL, and Judith Ann Graber of Chesapeake, OH; four sons, William Gayhart of AZ, Robert Gayhart of Chesapeake, OH, Michael Gayhart of Paintsville, OH, and Gene Gayhart of Flatwoods, KY; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Johnson of South Point, OH; and one brother, Ronnie Johnson of South Point, OH. At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH, is assisting the family.
