Ellison Richard Wheeler, 78, of Acworth, GA, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. He was born on August 1, 1945, in Ironton, OH, to the late Joseph and Naomi Ross Wheeler. He was also preceded in death by four sisters Kay Chacos, Ann Brown, Phyllis Snider, and Mildred "June" Damron; and one brother Robert Wheeler. He was a Navy Veteran serving on the USS Hancock. He was a life member of VFW Post #1236946 Venice, FL, and American Legion. He was also a business entrepreneur. He is survived by one daughter Shana Wheeler of Sarasota, FL, and her mother Pamela Wheeler of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren Matthew Wheeler of Sarasota, FL, and Patrick Wheeler of St. Augustine, FL; one sister Colletta Rose of Zephyrhills, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private Family Services will be held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
