Elmer Ray Bowling's Obituary
Elmer Ray Bowling, 89, of South Point, OH, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at home. He was born on June 21, 1932, in Rowan County, KY, to the late Norman and Bessie Conley Bowling. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Frank and Henderson Bowling and three sisters Lillian Fender, Betty McCoy, and Mildred Stone. He was retired from Ashland Oil, a navy Veteran, member of Tri-State Worship Center, a long-time resident of Ashland, KY, and a graduate of Wheelersburg High School. He is survived by his wife Janice Bowling; three daughters Kathy (Kipp) Robinson of Memphis, TN, Susan (Seth) Davis of Valley, WA, and Vicki (Kevin) Black of Chesapeake, OH; two sons Paul Savitsky of Seattle, WA, and Jon (Barbara) Bowling of Poca, WV; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; two great granddaughters; one sister Sudie (Rennie) Green of Wheelersburg, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Service will be held at 12 P.M. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast, with Pastor Doug Johnson officiating. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, blankets may be sent to River Run Health Caren Center of Franklin Furnace or contributions may also be made to Hatchers Greenhouse where they will provide flowers.
