Eloise Evans Shafer's Obituary
ELOISE EVANS SHAFER, 89, of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 27, 2016, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She was born June 19, 1926, in East Lynn, WV, a daughter of the late Howard and Clara Snodgrass Evans. She was a former office manager in food brokering, and a member of Church of God Lockdale Assembly in Burlington, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cash O. Shafer; two brothers, Thomas and Kenneth Evans; and two sisters, Lois Ray and Roberta Evans. Eloise is survived by her daughters, Carol (Truman) Jarvis and Rebecca (Lee) Bumgarner; one sister, Margaret Evans; 10 grandchildren, Mike, Matt, and Marty Stapleton, Harli Jenkins, Robin Nance, Debbie Amos, Angie Arrowood, Teresa Blevins, John Bumgarner, and Angela Johnson; numerous great and great great grandchildren; and a host of extended family. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Friday, January 29, 2016, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH.
