Elsie Maxine Lykins Epling's Obituary
ELSIE MAXINE LYKINS EPLING, 85, of Chesapeake, OH, went to be with her precious Savior on Friday, November 7, 2014, in Heartland of Riverview Nursing Home. Funeral service will be 1 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Getaway Cemetery. Maxine was born April 25, 1929, in Ona, WV, a daughter of the late Samuel and Nettie Martin Ryder. She was a homemaker and member of Gospel Freewill Baptist Temple of Big Branch. She was the widow of Harold R. Lykins and Art Epling and also preceded in death by her son, James Lykins; her brothers, Calvin Ryder and Oscar Ryder; her step-brothers, Curtis "Ted" Ryder, John W. Ryder, and William H. Ryder; her step-sisters, Maude Ryder and Hazel Ryder; and her son-in-law, John Haney. Maxine is survived by her children, Roger (Maxine) Lykins of Chesapeake, OH, Linda Haney of Chesapeake, OH, Sue Chapman of Barboursville, WV, and Lloyd (Sheila) Lykins of Kenova, WV; one brother, Robert Ryder; three sisters, Lavina Smith, Edna Russell, and Doris Persinger; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Ryder and Doris Ryder; a daughter-in-law, Rose Lykins; nine grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
