Elsie Lee Hamlin's Obituary
ELSIE LEE HAMLIN, 82, of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in River's Bend Health Care. Funeral services will be Noon Friday, August 30, 2013, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Day officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Elsie was born May 23, 1931, in Linville, OH, a daughter of the late Willie and Blanche Henderson Wilson of Willow Wood, OH. She was a licensed Cosmetologist for over 30 years and a licensed Realtor for over 15 years. She also served on the Ohio Democrat Committee for over 40 years and was a member of Sybene Missionary Baptist Church in South Point. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Hamlin whom she married August 23, 1947; three brothers, Glendale, Earl, and Fredrick Wilson; and three sisters, Wilma Jean Simpson, Hazel Ison, and Mable Sue Waddle. Elsie is survived by her son, Harold Hamlin of South Point, OH; two granddaughters, Tauna Jobe of South Point, OH, and Sarai French of Columbus, OH; three great grandchildren, Keali, Chase, and Kaedan; two brothers, Elmer and Robert Wilson; and three sisters, Shirley Rice, Sandy Wilson, and Mary Rutherford. Visitation will be from 11 AM to Noon Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.schneidergriffin.com.
