Elton "Wally" Waugh's Obituary
ELTON "WALLY" WAUGH, 85, of Chesapeake, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 31, 2016, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan McClay officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Wally was born September 10, 1930, in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Fenton and Faye Griffith Waugh. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict on the USS Missouri and a retired Oven Operator from Heiner's Bakery. He was also Baptist by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Okey and Harlan Waugh. Wally is survived by his wife, Wanda Bowles Waugh, three daughters, Linda (Don) Myers of Dillingham, AK, Brenda (Roy) Heffner of Chesapeake, OH, and Kim Waugh McQuaid of Chesapeake, OH; one son, Wally (Michelle) Waugh of Chesapeake, OH; his grandchildren, Mike (Angie) Myers, Cathy (Ray) Burns, James McQuaid, Jenelle (Brett) Napier, TJ McCoy, and JB Waugh; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Earl (Mary Jo) Waugh, and Bud Waugh; one sister, Mary Hearld; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington.
