Eric David Blake's Obituary
Eric David Blake, 46, of Proctorville, OH, went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2021, at St. Mary's of Ironton, OH. Eric was born on October 25, 1975, to the late Michael and Ellen Blake. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents Gordon and Joann Dennison and Leo and Lucy Blake; and two uncles Fred Hite and George Ward. He is survived by his grandmother Norma Dennison of Scottown; brother Anthony Blake (Janice) of Proctorville; niece Kristina Blake; nephew Michael Blake II; sister Sara Smithers (Andy) of South Point; aunt Diane Foss (Mike) of Florida; uncle Nate Dennison (Reagan) of Massachusetts; uncle Tom Blake (Debbie) of Arizona; uncle Don Blake (Diana) of Crown City, OH; aunt Patricia Ward of South Point; uncle Jack Blake (Donna) of South Point; aunt Phyllis Hite (Ricky) of Huntington; uncle Rick Blake (Janie) of Chesapeake; and numerous cousins. He was remembered by special friends/ extended family, Freddy, Dewey, Tasha, Eric, and Shane. Eric was better known as "Bubba" and was a graduate of Fairland High School Class of 1995. He loved watching wrestling and football. His favorite team was the Cleveland Browns. He also loved cooking and spending time with family and friends. He was a police officer for 8 years. He then went on to be a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy for 5 years and served 3 combat tours in Iraq, with a rank of HM-3. Funeral Service will be held on November 13, 2021, at 2 P.M. with visitation from 1 to 2 P.M. at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Minister Chris French officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
