Greg and family,\r\nI first met Ernie when he was my physical.ed. teacher at Coal Grove High. Later in life when he was a Fairland principal, I was privileged to talk to him as educator to educator. He was a great friend to Lawrence County Special Olympics. Greg, you were raised by two wonderful people.
May God lighten your burden on Ernie's passing. He was principal at Fairland #4 when I was a student and also when I taught and coached at the high school. Ernie and I played golf several times over the years. Always a pleasure and enjoyed just being around Ernie. When I became basketball coach at Coal Grove he called with some very useful advice as he had been there and told me what to expect. He will be remembered and missed by many. May God bless.
My condolences to the Jones family on the loss of Mr. Jones. He was my grade school principal and a good man. He had a positive impact on a lot of young people and served as a role model for me. Mr. Jones had a well lived life. We were blessed to have him as part of our community.

So sorry to learn of Ernie's passing. Your mom and dad were two great people and all of us at Ironton Country Club will miss their presence as we the Nine hole league has Johnna these past few years. Those grandsons were her treasures. Our heart goes out to all of you and prayers are coming your way to help you through this .

I remember Mr Jones he seemed 10’ tall, and he could get your attention, he paddled me once and that’s all I wanted. He is a hero.
