In Loving Memory of Eugene Trammell
December 6, 1943 – October 7, 2025
Eugene Trammell, a devoted husband, proud father, caring grandfather, steadfast brother, cherished uncle, and U.S. Army veteran, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born in Ethel, West Virginia, Eugene was the son of the late Rufus and Lucille (Battle) Trammell. He grew up surrounded by family, faith, and a strong sense of service that would define his life. Eugene served honorably in the United States Army, and continued to live a life of humility, generosity, and care for others long after his military service ended.
He was a man who loved deeply, gave freely, and lived with quiet strength. His kindness and presence were felt by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Lucille (Coleman) Trammell; his parents, Rufus and Lucille (Battle) Trammell; his grandparents; his brothers, Richard Trammell (Audra) and Forest Trammell (Margie); and his sister, Sandra Trammell.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Trammell-Lowe (Timothy Lowe) and Kimberly Trammell; and his grandson, Elijah Lowe.
He is also survived by his brother Dennis Trammell (Bernetta); and his sister, Claudia Owens (Johnny). He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends who will miss him dearly and remember his steady, caring presence.
A service to celebrate Eugene’s life will be held on October 14th at Schneider Hall, (Chesapeake, OH) at 10am, with military honors to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations to be made in Eugene’s honor to the National Veterans Foundation at www.nvf.org
