Evelyn L. McCartney, 87, of Ironton, OH, passed away on October 8, 2025. Born on April 18, 1938, in Ironton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Nellie Johnson Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Judy Gail McCartney. Evelyn was retired from Owens Illinois. She is survived by her son, Kevin McCartney; granddaughters, Amber (Michael) Manning and Ashlee (Justin) Hysell; 4 great-grandkids; brother, Ed (Sharon) Walker, and 2 nephews. A Graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, OH. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family.
