Evelyn Catherine Walters' Obituary
Evelyn Catherine Walters, 86, of Crown City, OH, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at home. She was born September 28, 1939, in Lawrence County, OH to the late Noah and Stella Johnson Scarberry. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carmel Walters; four sisters Hazel Naramore, Flossie Leffingwell, Dorothy Scarberry, and Ruby Burns; two brothers Norvan and Kenneth Scarberry. She is survived by four children David (Liz) Walters, Beverly Walters, Jennifer (Dan) Walters, and Jeffery Walters; grandchildren Jamie (Tracy), Jason (April), Jeremy, Kayla (Homer), Colton, Logan, and Brynleigh; great grandchildren Robbie, Josh (Natalie), Ty, Levi (Katie), Brooke, and Katie (Jacob); great great grandchildren Jace, Aubrey, Jhett, Bryer, Navy, Harlan, Haven, and Hadlee; two sisters Betty Frye and Juanita Hardy of Chesapeake, OH; several nieces and nephews; and several friends who loved her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. A burial will follow at Miller Memorial Gardens in Crown City, OH.
