Everett E. Ellis, Sr.'s Obituary
Everett E. Ellis, Sr., 79, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away Saturday January 12, 2019 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born January 9, 1940 in Chesapeake, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Mayme Ellis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Baise Ellis; a son Everett E. Ellis, Jr; a sister Alma Lou Gibas; and brother-in-law Billy Poff. He is survived by two daughters Angela (Greg) Collins of Ironton, Ohio and Tina M. Frye of South Point, Ohio; one son Stephen (Tammy) Ellis of Chesapeake, Ohio; one sister Joann Poff of California; grandchildren Krista (John) Broughton of Tennessee, Matthew (Kerri) Schreiber of Huntington, WV, Brooke (Wesley) Frye of South Point, Jesse (Sandy) Johnson of South Point, Alex (Samantha) Collins of Connecticut, Kimberly (Justin) Frye of South Point, Jarred (Mindy) Ellis of Buckhannon, WV, Adam (Amanda) Ellis of South Point, Leah Ellis of South Point, and Zachary Tanner (Kathryn Estep) of Hawaii; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local #1652. He retired from The Ohio River Terminals Company. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday January 17, 2019 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Tracy Chaffin. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday January 17, 2019 at the funeral home.
