Fleeta Thacker's Obituary
FLEETA THACKER, 89, of South Point, OH, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, in Heartland of Riverview in South Point. Graveside services will be 1 PM Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Rome Cemetery Mausoleum, Proctorville, OH. Burial will follow. Fleeta was born October 10, 1923, in Chesapeake, OH, a daughter of the late Lewis G. and Naomi Whitley Henderson. She was a retired librarian having worked in Munsfordville, KY, then at Briggs Lawrence County Library, and was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Thacker; her son, Richard Thacker; and an infant son, Bobby Thacker. Fleeta is survived by three grandchildren, Kristi (Dave) Esworthy, Richard (Rhonda) Thacker, Jr., and Scott (Christy) Thacker; seven great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Thacker; and her sister-in-law, Edna Thacker. At Fleeta's request, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Union Missionary Baptist Church, Chesapeake, OH.
