Florence "Sis" Short's Obituary
Florence “Sis” Short, 62, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away at Myrtle Beach, SC. She was born February 22, 1958 in Gallia County, Ohio daughter of the late Ernie and Marcella Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Short; five brothers Blackley Phillips, Donald Phillips, Lester Phillips, Whitey Phillips and Jim Bob Phillips; five sisters Doris Montgomery, Joe Short, Betty Judd, Helen Phillips and Rosemary Sands. She is survived by her children Danny Short of Proctorville, Ohio, Tonya (Robert) Donnelly of Kenova, WV, Vicki Salmons (fiance’ Stoney Walters) of Chesapeake, Ohio, and Heather (Scott) Ferguson of Huntington, WV; six grandchildren Brandon Walters, Bethany Ireland, Karlie Salmons, Desiree Ferguson, Scott (Gizmo) Ferguson, Brooke Salmons and Nevaeh Donnelly. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Rev. Meredith Turley and Pastor Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Stoney Walters, Gizmo Ferguson, David Dennison, James Montgomery, Homer Saunders, Brandon Walters and Fred Watts.
