Frances Loretta Christian's Obituary
Frances “Fran” Loretta Christian, 78 of South Point, Ohio went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on Friday January 9, 2026. She was born on December 24, 1947 the daughter of the late William Kirby and Bernice Estell Lewis Ward of Chesapeake, OH. Frances was preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles “Charlie” E. Ketcham. Charlie brought her so much happiness during their years together and he showed her a love she had truly never known. Together they shared many traveling adventures. However some of their most cherished memories were just times spent alone at the home they shared together in Margate, FL. Over the past 20 years Fran showed her incredible strength as she courageously battled and overcame 4 separate battles with Cancer, always coming out a true warrior. Fran enjoyed quilting, bowling, crafting, woodworking, gardening, cooking and loved all animals and nature. Fran was preceded in death by two siblings, Phyllis Gilkison and William “Bill” Ward and her special furry companion, Mia. Fran is survived by her three children, Melissa Miles Berrier (Chris) of Landenberg, PA; Theresa Miles Blevins (Chris) of South Point, OH; Stephen Miles (Heather) of Owensboro, KY. She is also survived by her siblings Barbara Alltop of South Point, OH; Donna Stewart, of South Point, OH; David Ward, of South Point, OH; Tommy Ward (Marilyn) of South Point, OH; Ann Olsen, of Winchester, VA. As well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Fran was the proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Chris Moore (Danielle) and their 2 children, Wesley and Wyatt of Stuart, FL. Felicia Berrier and Jason Berrier of Landenberg, PA. Zachary “Zach” Blevins (Tia) and their 2 children Tori and Tanner of Ashland, KY. Wesley “Alex” Blevins, Joshua Blevins (Lindsey) of South Point, OH. Kayla Miles Bivins (Bo) and their 2 children, Carter and Carysn “Lulu”, of Evansville, IN and Corey Miles (Sarah) of Owensboro, KY. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm and visitation will be one hour before from 1:00-2:00 pm on Saturday January 17, 2026 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH.
