Fred G. Dunfee's Obituary
Frederick Gene Dunfee, 86, of Proctorville, Ohio passed in peace, Sunday January 28, 2018 at River’s Bend Health Care, where he bragged on the care he was given and the compassion of the staff. He was born April 13, 1931. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 64 years, Mina Faye Dunfee, who he knew two weeks before he made her his bride. They lived in Columbus for many years, enjoying life. They loved going to church and volunteering, hanging out with friends. Fred worked for Lennox , where he retired from in 1991. Fred and Faye had many fur babies, as Fred loved animals, especially his dogs and horses. They were blessed with children and grandchildren in May of 1998, when Paul and Wendy Short moved in behind them, with their son, Chance who was 2 at the time and Gunner would follow in March, 1999. As time passed they grew to where both families became as one, claiming Wendy and Paul as their children and Chance and Gunner as their grandchildren. Ed Dunfee is Fred’s brother from Avon Lake, Ohio. He and his girls will miss Fred but they know he is at peace and no longer suffering in this world, but is reunited with their brother Roger, and their parents, Emory and Helen; as well as all his fur babies that went before him. Fred Leaves behind many special cousins, nieces and nephews, and some very special friends who will miss his smiling face. To celebrate the life of Fred, a devoted husband, an Army Veteran, a father figure, a friend, and a man who loved the Lord, services will be at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio with visitation 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 and funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday February 1, 2018 with two special people to the family, Pastor Jason Morris and Brother Conley Plybon officiating the service.
