Freddie Ray Spurlock's Obituary
Freddie Ray Spurlock, 82, of Wheelersburg, OH, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at home. He was born on September 11, 1942, in Huntington, WV, to the late Earl M. Spurlock and Carrie Alvis (Baumgardener) Spurlock. He was also preceded in death by son Earl Eugene “Gene” Spurlock; daughters Carrie Spurlock and Shonary Jenkins; sister-in-law Karen Spurlock; and brother-in-law Dan Barela. He graduated from Barboursville High School in 1960. He was a sales manager at Goldsmit-Sydnor Distributors and retired in 2006 after 40 years. He was an avid bass fisherman, outdoorsmen, and lover of all music. He is survived by his wife Glenda Spurlock, who he married on January 13, 1990. He is also survived by sons Roger (Kelly) Hall and Jason (Kellie) Hall; son-in-law Anthony Jenkins; granddaughters Kristan Hall, Kacie Hall, and Rachel (Chase) Garrett; great grandkids Andrew, Noah, Hailee, Hunter, and Sofia; brothers Richard Spurlock and David (Shirley) Spurlock; sisters Janet Barela, Karen (Larry) King, and Joan (Roger) Miller; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, December 23, 2024, at Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, OH, with Pastor Rick Clark officiating the service. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
