Gary Barton's Obituary
GARY RAY BARTON, age 65, passed away on Sunday April 19, 2026. He was born January 17, 1961, in Tucson, AZ. But spent his last 10 years in the Chesapeake-Proctorville area. He retired as Counselor with Southern Hope Recovery Center in Chesapeake Ohio. He has friends, family and co-workers who will miss him greatly. Gary loved life and having a purpose. Gary is preceded in death by his mother Jewel G. Marcum Petty, Father Carl M. Barton, and brother Terry Vessey. Gary is survived by his two sisters Vickie Newman and Dawn Massie (husband Vinson Massie); his four children, Jacob Ray Barton, Jesica Renae Ferrufino, Cierra Rose Myers, Kellie Anne Barton; his two stepdaughters, Brittanie Ray Reyes and Crystal Marie Wells, his six grandchildren, Elena Renae Barton, Grayson Neil Barton, Nicolas Alfredo Ferrufino, Mateo Ray Ferrufino, Zoey Grace Myers and Amelia Mae Myers as well as many cousins. Private family services will be held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
